Princess & Me: Rapunzel’s Braided Pull-Apart Bread

After years of keeping her unruly locks tamed every morning, Princess Rapunzel is an expert when it comes to braiding. She braids the mane of Maximus the horse, and if her chameleon friend Pascal had any hair she would surely braid his too! Today is Flynn Rider’s birthday, and tonight Rapunzel is making him a special dinner of his favorite foods, butternut squash soup and bread. Of course, being the spirited princess she is, Rapunzel has to put her own “twist” on the meal by creating Braided Pull-Apart Bread!

You will need:

  • 1 ungreased baking sheet

  • 1-2 small jars of jam

  • 1 package of sliced almonds

  • 1 knife/spoon (to spread the jam)

  • 1 cutting board

  • Oven mitts

  • 1 package Pillsbury Grands Crescent Rolls

Step Two: Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Pop open the can of rolls and spread out on cutting board. Separate the dough into three strips so that there are two roll triangles per strip (there should be two rolls left over).

Step Three: Roll each of the three squares of dough tightly. You should now have three long rolls of dough.

Step Four: Pinch the three rolls together securely and prepare to braid.

Step Five: Braid the strands of dough tightly from top to bottom. When you reach the end of the dough, pinch the three rolls together again.

Step Six: Transfer the braided roll onto the ungreased baking sheet and place in oven. Bake for 15 minutes, or until golden brown.

Step Seven: Remove braid from oven and let cool on baking sheet. When bread is warm to the touch, transfer onto a plate and tuck sliced almonds into the dough to create flowers.
