Princess Ariel may live on land at the palace, but tonight is a special exception. Princess Ariel is swimming back to meet her family under the sea for a holiday celebration! Sebastian will be leading the music, and Ariel’s mersisters have covered the underwater ballroom in beautiful sea anemones. A good guest always brings along a special treat to contribute to their host’s feast, and Ariel spent an entire week thinking up the perfect holiday recipe.
Peppermint Pretzel Bites are the perfect sweet and salty snack, and just as easy to make as they are delicious. Before Ariel leaves, she has just enough time to make a quick batch to bring as a tasty addition to the banquet.
Make your own Peppermint Pretzel Bites along with Princess Ariel!
Step One: Gather your ingredients.
You will need:
One cookie sheet lined in parchment paper
M&M’s of any flavor (Ariel used the holiday mint flavor)
Bite-size waffle pretzels
Hershey’s kisses of any type (Ariel used candy cane kisses)
Step Two: Preheat the oven to 170 degrees.
Step Three: Set as many waffle pretzels as you would like (one for each treat) in a single layer on a parchment paper-lined cookie sheet.
Step Four: Top each pretzel with an unwrapped Hershey’s kiss.
Step Five: Bake for 4-6 minutes. Once the chocolates are soft to the touch, remove from oven and onto a cooling rack.
Step Six: Quickly press an M&M’s candy into the center of each Hershey’s kiss. Make sure the “m” symbol is face down so it doesn’t show in the finished result! Wait several minutes for the candy to cool, then place in the refrigerator for 10 minutes to set.
Your delicious Peppermint Pretzel Bites are ready to enjoy! Ariel packed hers into a jar and took them with her to share with family and friends. The treats were a hit with everyone at the holiday party, especially Flounder!
Remember, no matter what sugary sweets you enjoy this season, it is the memories that will carry you through the rest of the year. Whether they are of exciting parties with your family and friends or Flounder the fish stuffed with too many peppermint candies, this holiday’s wonderful moments are the ones to remember!
